NAPEG’s 2026 Professional Development Symposium will explore how innovation is shaping engineering and geoscience work in northern environments — bringing professionals together to share research, lived experience, and approaches relevant to practice in the North. Expect practical learning you can apply to real projects, sessions grounded in northern realities, and space for meaningful knowledge exchange across sectors and regions.

The week also includes NAPEG’s AGM, the Education Foundation AGM, the President’s Reception, the NAPEG Awards Banquet, and a final wrap-up social.

From emerging talent to seasoned experts, the awards highlight dedication, innovation, and resilience in northern contexts — and reinforces our commitment to advancing the highest standards of professionalism in the field.

At this year's Awards Banquet, hear from renowned explorer and writer Adam Shoalts as keynote speaker, whose expeditions have taken him across the Amazon rainforest and the Canadian Arctic.
