    Objectives NAPEG encourages the achievement of excellence in the engineering and geosciences professions through the promotion of advanced studies and research programs. By providing financial assistance to researchers working in the northern territories the Association seeks to encourage young geoscientists to communicate effectively to their peers and the public, an important skill in the development of a professional practitioner.   • 46th Annual Yellowknife Geoscience Forum (November 20-22)

    The Yellowknife Geoscience Forum provides an intimate setting for delegates from industry, academia, and government to exchange information on Mineral and Petroleum Exploration, Mining Activities, and Geoscience Research in Canada’s North.   • “Sustainability in Practice”

    Engineers Canada and Polytechnique Montréal have partnered to launch “Sustainability in Practice,” a massive open online course (MOOC) that begins on October 24, 2018, and is available in both English and French.     The NAPEG Education Foundation is offering scholarships valued at $2000 to students from the Northwest Territories and Nunavut pursuing education in the fields of engineering or geoscience.  Both scholarships are named in memory of past NAPEG members who were extremely active in the association. The Bob Spence Memorial Scholarship was established in 2005. Bob was a Founding Member of NAPEG, Past President, Past Executive Director, friend of many, and a strong advocate for professionalism and high ethical standards. The Mel Brown Memorial Scholarship was established in 2002. Mel was a Founding Member and a Life Member of NAPEG. He also…

  • NAPEG Education Foundation Scholarship for Graduate Studies

    The Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists (NAPEG) Education Foundation may award up to two scholarships per year in the amount of seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500.00) each. The purpose is to provide financial assistance to Northwest Territories or Nunavut resident member engineers and geoscientists who are furthering their studies in engineering or geoscience.
