National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women: December 6th Vigil

Violence against women and girls remains a worldwide phenomenon.

To commemorate the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, the Status of Women Council will be hosting a December 6th vigil.

The special event will pay tribute to the 14 women that lost their lives during the Montreal massacre 29 years ago.

The vigil will also be an opportunity to acknowledge the countless women and girls that are victims of gender-based violence.

The Status of Women Council welcomes you to join them in remembering those we have lost as a result of violence and to declare an end to all forms of abuse against women and girls.
