Updates from the 2025 NAPEG and NAPEGG Education Foundation AGMs

Thank you to all who attended the 2025 Annual General Meetings of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists (NAPEG) and the NAPEGG Education Foundation, held on the evening of May 13 in Yellowknife.

NAPEG AGM Highlights

At the NAPEG AGM, members reviewed key activities from the past year, including updates on regulatory initiatives, member services, and continuing professional development. A preview of NAPEG’s upcoming strategic planning engagement was also shared, with an in-person session scheduled during this week’s Professional Development Symposium.

2025 Council Election Results

Members also elected new representatives to serve on NAPEG Council. We are pleased to welcome the following individuals:

2nd Vice President (1-year term):
• Kamran Ata, P.Eng. – Yellowknife

Council Members (3-year terms):
• Kimberly Ferguson, P.Geo. – Iqaluit
• Matthew Senkow, P.Geo. – Yellowknife

We thank all nominees for putting their names forward and all members who participated in this year’s vote. Council plays a vital role in upholding professional and regulatory excellence across the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

NAPEGG Education Foundation AGM Highlights

At the NAPEGG Education Foundation AGM, members received updates on outreach, scholarships, and this year’s NAPEG Awards. The Foundation also presented its finalized 2025–2028 Strategic Plan and released its latest annual report.
