    The Giant Mine Remediation Project is hosting an Industry Day on November 26 at the Explorer Hotel in Yellowknife. The GMRP Team and Parsons Inc. will present information on the anticipated project schedule, types of work packages, and procurement approaches, with opportunities for questions, discussions and networking. It provides an opportunity for youth to learn about engineering It helps kids understand the various things they can do as engineers It can teach youth what it takes to become a professional engineer It helps to profile for youth the accomplishments of Canada’s engineers Who can get involved? Parents, teachers, students, aspiring engineers and engineers themselves can get involved in National Engineering Month volunteer opportunities. Engineers who get involved can showcase the amazing work they do and Canada’s youth will discover that anything’s possible when it comes to engineering.

    Every year in honor of Engineering and Geoscience Week, NAPEG hosts the Annual Bridge Building Competition. This special week is set aside to encourage and motivate students on the technical innovations and fascinating opportunities that are possible with a career choice in the Engineering and Geoscience fields. We encourage students from all grades, all-across the Northwest Territories and Nunavut to participate and would love your student’s participation in this years’ competition.   • NAPEG’s Kids Coding Event

    National Engineering and Geoscience Month kicks off on February 23rd, 2019. In lieu of, NAPEG will be hosting a couple events here in Yellowknife to help promote Engineering and Geoscience among our Youth. The first event we are hosting is a Coding Event for Kids on Saturday, February 23, 2019 for Ages 5+. Contact Chelsea at 867-920-4055 to sign up! The coding event consists of 1 hour-long workshops on laptops, for the kids to attend and get some hands-on experience coding their very own games and characters.
