NAPEG Award

Description

Professional Award of Merit Engineering

Recognizes and promotes excellence in applied engineering carried out in the NWT and NU.

Professional Award of Merit Geosciences

Recognizes and promotes excellence in applied geology and geophysics (geoscience) carried out in the NWT and NU.

Award for Environmental Excellence

Recognizes engineers and geoscientists and concerned persons who have applied environmental excellence in engineering and geosciences to work undertaken within the NWT and NU.

Civic Award

Recognizes a member who has made a significant contribution to the improvement of quality of life for the citizens of their community – through volunteer or paid service – over a period of time.

Service Award

Recognizes distinctive and outstanding service or contribution to the Association by a member over several years.

Young Achievers Award

Bestows distinction on young engineers, geologists and geophysicists in the NT or NU and recognizes exceptional achievements in their chosen fields.

Member-in-Training Award

Recognizes achievements by an MIT that enhances society’s knowledge of our professions – leadership in the community, outstanding achievements and recognition.

Distinguished Life Membership

Recognizes members who rendered signal service to the Association.
In addition, we are accepting nominations for teachers to receive the NAPEG Science Teaching Award for 2016. The Awards will be presented in Yellowknife on Thursday, May 12, 2016 and include a plaque for the teacher and a financial award to the Science Program of the school.
