  • The Bob Spence and Mel Brown Memorial Scholarships

    The NAPEG Education Foundation is offering scholarships valued at $2000 to students from the Northwest Territories and Nunavut pursuing education in the fields of engineering or geoscience.  Both scholarships are named in memory of past NAPEG members who were extremely active in the association. The Bob Spence Memorial Scholarship was established in 2005. Bob was a Founding Member of NAPEG, Past President, Past Executive Director, friend of many, and a strong advocate for professionalism and high ethical standards. INWED is celebrated each year on June 23, and aims to celebrate women in engineering around the globe.     National Engineering and Geoscience week was from February 24th, 2018 to March 3rd, 2018. To mark the week, NAPEG hosted a couple events here in Yellowknife to help promote Engineering and Geoscience amongst our Youth. 2nd Annual Coding Event The first event we hosted was a Coding Event for Kids on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 for ages 5+ at the Centre Square Mall in Yellowknife, NT. The coding event consisted of hour-long workshops on laptops, for the kids to get some hands-on experience coding their very own games and characters.
